FIELD JOURNAL — ENTRY ONE
I have a very special real-world girlfriend, but don't feel a draw/attraction towards normal relationships. Instead, I latch onto certain fictional characters who I love, embrace, and cherish in the same way I do my real-world partner. It makes me happy, even if hard to understand.A character like Lara takes on a literal (romantic) relationship role in my life, the exact same way my real-world partner does. That comes alongside all of the same protectiveness, possessiveness, and exclusivity sought from those relationships. It's important to me that the connection I have with Lara and the feelings associated with it are respected. She is, in my life and my world, mine as my partner and my girlfriend. Please don't make comments about/surrounding her that you would not say about someone's actual real-world partner. Lara Croft, in the most literal sense possible, fills that same role for me. I can be very sensitive about her due to the inherent distance there is because of the nature of my connection with her, but I have a genuine and especially strong connections with Lara. I just want to be comfortable in my own shell and life enjoying my love and relationship with her.Lara Croft is my girlfriend, and I am hers; there is no difference between how I perceive her compared to how one would judge a normal real-world relationship. Whether it stems from demiromanticism, or if it's "fictosexuality" (a term I don't like), I don't care about what it's called as much as I just enjoy embracing how I feel, and being true to those feelings I have.I want to note! This is largely referring to the reimagining of Lara Croft seen in the survivor trilogy of games and beyond. She underwent a transformation to move away from her gratuituous "male gaze" approach, and has become an incredibly strong independent character largely free from those biases. Especially having been framed as wlw/sapphic/attracted to women in recent games, Lara is a hugely important character even outside of my own life. This is the Lara Croft that I love with all my heart; though I accept her past depictions as well, and hope to see them brought up to current standards for the treatment of her character. In case it is not clear, Lara Croft embodies these feelings and that role in my life wholeheartedly. This page exists as a declaration of that love and those feelings, to put them out there into the world alongside the recognition that this girl means the world to me and that I cherish her as my partner and my girlfriend. Just as we are independent and belong to eachother autonomously first and foremost, I am Lara's, and Lara is mine.

THE OATH WALL
VALIDATE MY LOVE
Lara Croft belongs to herself first and firstmost. In addition to that, though, she is my girlfriend. I cherish her with all my heart, in the same way most would their real-world partners and lovers. I am similarly protective and possessive over her, and can wholeheartedly recognize her as my girlfriend who I love and adore. I know that's hard for many to take seriously or understand, though, of course - but for me, this is real.If you are feeling charitable, sympathize, empathize with my feelings, or would just love to brighten up my day, please do consider using the button below to acknowledge the connection and love I have for Lara Croft. It means a lot, especially having the connection that I do genuinely have towards, around, and with her be validated in this simple way by others.
